The Systems Administrator II is the face of our IT and Cloud Operations Team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality IT support services to users and staff. At the same time, it also plays a critical role in planning, engineering, and maintenance of the organization's hardware, software, subscription services, systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
This Hybrid role reports to the Cloud Operations Sr. Manager and has minimal off-hours or on-call support requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the internal ticketing system for all staff
- Monitor tickets, emails, and alerting systems and address or escalate issues as needed
- Own the ordering, inventory, setup, security, and maintenance of all IT hardware
- Support the IT needs of our staff in the office and remotely
- Administer m365, Azure, Exchange, subscriptions, software, and cloud services
- Serve as backup for DBA and support backups, maintenance, and access requests
- Setup monitoring and automation for common issues and tasks
- Identify and implement process improvements for our IT practices
- Develop and maintain SOPs and internal KB support articles
- Champion for IT and InfoSec guidelines and best practices
Minimum of 2-year hands-on experience in a majority of the following:
- PowerShell Scripting
- Managing roles, rules, and permissions in various services
- Networking (Physical, Virtual, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, SDN, Wi-Fi, etc.)
- Managing Devices via Intune and Endpoint Protection
- Windows and some Linux Administration
- Systems Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V)
- SQL Administration (On-prem and hosted)
- Vendor Management
- IT Security (Monitoring, Identification, Remediation, and Prevention)
- AD and Entera
- Process Improvement and Automation
